The Coordinating Centre for Students with Disabilities of University of Kelaniya, organized a training session on “Employability Skills” for students with disabilities at the English Language Teaching Unit in July 2016. This training session offered information on The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon and its role in supporting persons with disabilities in finding employment prospects and navigating the job market. The training was conducted by Ms. Manique Gunaratne of The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon Network on Disability. As the first step students with disabilities were educated on “importance of doing a job” and “how to develop employability skills and how to find employment”.
