The School for the Blind, Ratmalana organized a function to celebrate the International White cane Day for the students. It was a colourful event with cultural events by the vision impaired students. The students conducted the programme and made speeches on the significant of the white cane. Students received gifts for winning competitions organized with relevant to the significance of the white cane day. The Chief guest at and the Guest Speaker of this event was Ms. Manique Gunaratne of The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, Specialised Training & Disability Resource Centre.
