JAMES KELLY CONFERENCE ON THE RAP SERVICES AND SOFTWARE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The James Kelly Conference, jointly Hosted by Ceylon Association for the Mentally Retarded (CAMR) and Therap Services, James M. Kelly Administrator, PrimeCare, Vice Chairman, Therap Services invited Ms. Manique Gunaratne of The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon Network on Disability to join a discussion session at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute in August 2016. James Kelly from USA shared his experience of working with persons with disabilities and implementing Therap at his own agency and in addition discussed the various benefits of using Therap at special needs schools/agencies.

James Kelly co-founded Therap Services in 2003. He has extensive experiences in the human services in the community where he has worked for over 30 years. He has expertise in social services and operates about 20 institutions providing services to persons with disabilities. In 1990, Jim founded Community Options, Inc. in Connecticut with Richard Robbins; CEO of Therap. Jim currently serves as President and Chief Executive O‑cer for Community Options. The agency provides property management, personnel services, program development for new agencies, financial services for nonprofits, and direct operation of 19 group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities, programs and employment supports for adults with a broad range of disabilities. The Therap software for maintaining data bases for persons with disabilities is very useful.
