DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN SPORTS

The US Embassy hosted a webchat with paralympians and human rights advocates to talk about the importance of diversity and inclusion in sports in March 2018 at the Full Bright Commission. People working in the area of disability participated at this webchat ‘Athletes Without Limits’.  The discussion focused on how are these change-makers transform their environments by fighting for disability rights, women’s rights, and inclusion;  and their work with civil society, educational institutions, and governments to create change at the local and global levels.

Ms. Manique Gunaratne from The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, Specialised Training & Disability Resource Centre moderated the discussion with the local female athletes who have reached the international arina.
