The Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka (FPA) is dedicated to address sexual and reproductive concerns of girls and women with disabilities during the pandemic.
Tensions in households during the pandemic can lead to domestic violence and sexual exploitation. The following facilities of the FPA Sri Lanka assist women in need of reproductive health care or counselling.

The best buddy system assigns a friend or a companion with a non-disability. These buddies can assist their friends in emergency situations or in future pandemic situations.

‘BE-SAFE’ MOBILE APP

'Be-safe' Mobile App Poster
'Be-safe' app which is specifically designed for women with disabilities, provides information on emergency contacts, legal assistance, counseling and much more in accessible formats. This app can be accessed through a screen reader for vision impaired persons, a scree magnifier for partially sighted persons and a sign language interpreter for hearing impaired persons.
