LANKAN ISLE JOURNEL INCLUDES PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Lanka Isle is dynamic and vibrant. Within the diversity of its content, it is at all times mindful of playing at a higher level. Sri Lankan flavor is its hallmark and the niche professional contribution and readership is its pride. Lanka Isle will be true to its promise and cater to readers who are in thirst of content that is off the beaten track and reconnect with the level of curiosity that many of us had left behind after our school and university years. The Lankan Isle journal was launched at the Book Fair at the BMICH in September 2018. The first magazine carried an article about Ms. Manique Gunaratne titled “Finding my indomitable spirit in the wake of adversity”. Ms. Randima Attigale is the editor of this journal.

AWARDS CEREMONY 2011

In December 2011 Certificates were awarded to 30 trainees of the I.C.t. training centre of The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon. The function was held at Hotel Ceylon Continental. The Chief Guests were the Minster of Labour relations and man power and the Minister of Home affairs. After awarding the certificates there was a job fair. This training centre was started in August 2009. “Derana” TV channel, MTV TV channel and “Sirasa” TV channel showed this occasion in their news bulletin. The “Daily Mirror”, “Daily News”, “Daily FT”, “Sunday Times” and “Divayina” news papers carried articles about the training centre.

SRI LANKA BROADCASTING CORPORATION GIVES PUBLICITY FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Ms. Manique Gunaratne from The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon together with Ms. Ayasana Gunasekera (EFC), Ms. Chamari Sandamali (Jinasena Training & Rehabilitation Trust and EFC trainee) and Mr. Gemunu Priyashantha (EFC trainee) spoke on Soft Skills for persons with disabilities in the programme titled “Anduren Eliyata” at the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation in June 2018.

SRI LANKA BROADCASTING CORPORATION GIVES PUBLICITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Ms. Manique Gunaratne from the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, Specialised Training & Disability Resource Centre together with Ms. Ayasana Gunasekera from EFC, Ms. Chamari Sandamali, EFC trainee from Jinasena Training & Rehabilitation Trust spoke about the MIUSA (Mobility International USA) – EFC (The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon) WILD (Women Institute on Leadership & Disability) Asia 2018 programme. The half an hour radio programme titled “Anduren Eliyata” was broadcasted in June 2018 at the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.
