Ms. Devinka Wickramaratne from University of Moratuwa together with Ms. Manique
Gunaratne conducted a research in December 2019 on “Outdoor obstacle detection and
navigation” for vision impaired persons and thereafter to explore the possibilities of
developing a Smart Cane.
